An idle clicker with no edge to it at all, and that is the design rather than a shortcoming. You tap a duck, coins appear, the shop turns coins into things that tap for you, and the reward for progressing is an increasingly ridiculous collection of hats. Nothing is gated behind waiting, nothing asks for attention, and there is no way to fail. That makes it a good first game of the genre and a reasonable background tab for anybody who has played the serious ones. The upgrade ladder is short enough to see the end of, the cosmetic unlocks give the numbers somewhere to go that is not another number, and the whole thing can be finished in an afternoon. It is a small game by a small developer that knows exactly how much of your attention it deserves, which is rarer than it should be.

How to play Duck Clicker
- Buy the first automatic source as soon as it is affordable.
- Take multipliers once you own a few producers, since they apply to everything.
- Spend rather than save — coins sitting idle earn nothing.
- Compare purchases by coins per second, the only number that matters.
- Come back after a break; production continues while the tab is closed.
Tips
- Hats are cosmetic, so buy them whenever you feel like it rather than optimising around them.
- The shop is short by design; reading the whole thing once saves guessing later.
- There is nothing to lose by stopping mid-session.
