A voxel sandbox that runs in a browser and includes the parts of the format people usually have to install something for: a creative mode with unlimited material, a survival mode with consequences, and populated multiplayer servers where other people can take what you built. The three modes want different things from you. Creative is a building tool and nothing more, which makes it the place to learn what the blocks do. Survival adds the resource loop — gather, craft, shelter, expand — and the night, which is where a new world either establishes itself or does not. PvP servers are the reason to get good at the first two, because a base designed without an opponent in mind does not survive contact with one. Performance is the real achievement: it holds a usable frame rate and a reasonable view distance on hardware that would not run a native client, which is the whole point of a game like this living in a page. It needs a keyboard and mouse, it benefits from a wired connection on PvP servers, and it asks nothing of you before you start playing.
