Rust Game

A survival game whose defining feature is other people. You arrive with nothing, the environment is harsh but solvable, and the genuine danger is that everyone else on the server is solving the same problem and would rather take your solution than build their own. That changes every priority. Gathering is necessary and exposes you; a base is protection and a statement that something is worth taking; and the correct early strategy is usually to be unremarkable — a small hidden shelter beats an impressive one every time. Crafting follows a recognisable tree from stone tools upward, and the mid-game is about securing enough material to make a base that can survive being noticed. It is demanding and it does not explain itself, which is part of the appeal and a genuine barrier. Sessions are long, progress can be lost entirely, and the social dynamics on a server matter as much as anything mechanical. This browser version keeps the loop intact on hardware that could not run the original. It needs a keyboard and mouse, patience, and a tolerance for losing things.
