A tunnel game with an inverted control scheme. The ball travels forward and you cannot move it; what you control is the rotation of the tunnel around it, so getting through an opening means spinning the world until the gap lines up with where the ball happens to be. That inversion takes a few runs to internalise and then becomes surprisingly intuitive. Once it clicks, the game is a pure reading exercise: the openings are visible well ahead, the rotation speed is constant, and the question is always how far you need to turn and whether there is time to do it. Difficulty rises through tighter gaps and faster forward speed rather than through anything unpredictable. Runs last under a minute and restarting is one press, which suits a game this unforgiving. The visuals are minimal and high-contrast because legibility at speed is the only requirement. It plays with two inputs on a keyboard or two halves of a touchscreen, runs on anything, and is completely comprehensible within one attempt even though the first several will be very short. There is nothing else to it — no upgrades, no unlocks, no modes. That makes it a game to keep open in another tab for thirty seconds at a time rather than something to sit down with, and it is entirely suited to that use.

How to play Rotate Rush

  1. Start rotating as soon as an opening is visible, not when it is close.
  2. Rotate the shorter way round; the instinct is often the longer one.
  3. Keep the ball's position in mind rather than the tunnel's orientation.
  4. Make small corrections continuously rather than large late ones.
  5. Restart immediately — runs are seconds long.

Tips

  • The control is inverted, and internalising that takes about five runs.
  • Choosing the shorter rotation direction is worth more than faster reactions.
  • Openings are visible well ahead; the failures are almost always late starts.
