Volleyball reduced to jumping and swinging. There are no rotations, no positions and no three-touch rule to track; there is a net, an arc, and the question of whether you will be under the ball when it arrives. That makes it immediately playable and deceptively demanding, because the arcs get flatter and faster as the match goes on and the margin for being slightly out of position shrinks with them. The animal characters and the bright court are doing exactly what they should — keeping the mood light enough that losing a point is funny rather than annoying. Matches are a couple of minutes, the second player shares the keyboard, and the whole thing is pitched at the kind of session where nobody wants to read instructions. It is the same shape as the retro volleyball games this format comes from, and it has not tried to improve on them beyond looking nicer.

How to play Arcade Volley
- Move under the ball before jumping. A jump from the wrong place is a wasted jump.
- Jump late rather than early; the ball arrives slower than instinct suggests.
- Block at the net when the opponent is above the ball, and retreat when they are not.
- Aim into the corner the opponent just left rather than straight over the net.
- Play the second slot with a friend — this format is built for two people on one keyboard.
Tips
- Flat fast arcs are the ones that beat you, so watch the height of the opponent's contact rather than the ball.
- Standing slightly back covers more of the court than standing at the net.
- Short matches mean momentum matters; win two quick points and the opponent starts reaching.
