The runner everyone has already played by accident, available on purpose. A dinosaur runs across a flat line, cacti arrive, and you jump — and later, birds arrive at two heights and you have to duck as well, which is the entire mechanical content of the game. It has survived because that content is perfectly tuned. What makes it endure is the honesty of the escalation. Speed rises steadily and never resets, the obstacle spacing stays fair, and every death is unambiguously your own mistiming rather than something unfair. There is no score to buy, nothing to unlock and no reason to play except the number, which turns out to be reason enough. It remains one of the best examples of a single-input game there is, and it takes about four seconds to understand and considerably longer to be good at.

How to play Dinosaur Game
- Jump late rather than early; the dinosaur travels while airborne and early jumps land on the cactus.
- Duck for the low birds and jump the high ones — trying to jump everything fails around the first bird.
- Watch the horizon rather than the dinosaur, because the decision has to be made before the obstacle arrives.
- Do not hold the jump; a short hop clears a single cactus and lands sooner for the next.
- Restart immediately — the timing is muscle memory and it fades.
Tips
- Groups of three cacti need a single long jump rather than three short ones.
- At high speed the birds are the real threat, because they require the input you use least.
- If runs end at the same score, that is where the speed step is and it needs a slightly earlier jump.
