A driving game that is really a puzzle game with a throttle. Each course is a short assault of ramps, see-saws, spinning bars and gaps, and the vehicle flips or breaks apart the moment its weight goes somewhere unplanned. Because acceleration also pitches the truck backwards and braking pitches it forwards, the pedals are attitude controls as much as speed controls, and most obstacles are solved by knowing precisely when to stop doing anything. Over a hundred and twenty levels sit behind that idea, plus themed sets and gold times for players who want the same course solved faster rather than merely survived.

How to play Drive Mad

  1. Watch the nose of the truck rather than the road. Its angle is what decides whether the next obstacle is survivable.
  2. Lift off before a crest, not after it. Power over the top is what launches you into a bad landing.
  3. Use the brake in mid-air. It rotates the vehicle forward and it is the standard fix for a back-heavy jump.
  4. Approach see-saws slowly and let them settle. Speed across them almost always ends with the truck on its roof.
  5. Restart instantly rather than trying to recover. Levels are short and a compromised run rarely finishes.

Tips

  • Most levels have exactly one moment that matters. Find it and the rest of the course becomes routine.
  • Gold times generally need one bold shortcut rather than being faster everywhere.
  • If the truck keeps flipping backwards, you are holding the throttle through the ramp instead of releasing on it.
