A pouring puzzle with two rules: liquid can only be poured onto the same colour or into an empty tube, and each tube has a capacity. From those two constraints comes a genuinely deep logic puzzle, because the order of pours determines whether a level is solvable and there is usually exactly one order that works. What makes it a good version of the format is the absence of noise. There is no timer, no move limit and no luck — the level is fully visible from the start, so a failure is always a reasoning error rather than bad fortune. Empty tubes are the real resource, and the levels that take longest are the ones where the obvious first pour uses the only empty tube you needed later. Two to five minutes per level, hundreds of them, and the difficulty escalates through tube count rather than through anything artificial.

How to play Liquid Sort Deluxe

  1. Count the empty tubes before pouring; they are the scarce resource.
  2. Look for a colour that already has most of its volume in one tube and complete that first.
  3. Avoid pouring into an empty tube unless it completes something or unblocks a colour.
  4. Undo freely; there is no penalty and exploring is how hard levels are solved.
  5. Reset rather than continuing once every tube is mixed.

Tips

  • The obvious first pour is frequently the one that makes the level unsolvable.
  • A tube holding one unit of a colour is nearly always worth clearing early.
  • If nothing works, look for a pour you dismissed because it seemed pointless.
