A grid of coloured dots and a single connection rule: you may link two dots of the same colour if exactly one differently coloured dot sits between them. Every valid link resolves part of the board towards a single colour, and the puzzle is finished when nothing on the grid disagrees. It sounds slight and turns out to have real depth, because the order of the links matters enormously — a connection that is available now often destroys the one you were going to need in three moves. There is no timer and no penalty for thinking, which makes it a good game for a quiet ten minutes.

How to play Blendrix
- Look for the colour that appears least. It usually has to be resolved first because it has the fewest available links.
- Work from the edges inward. Corner and edge dots have fewer neighbours and therefore fewer chances later.
- Check what a link removes as well as what it creates. Most failed boards are caused by a link that was available and unnecessary.
- Undo freely. There is no penalty and exploring a branch is how the harder boards are solved.
- Reset rather than grinding a stuck board. Once the minority colour is isolated the puzzle is usually over.
Tips
- The rule requires exactly one different dot between, so counting carefully is more useful than pattern recognition.
- Symmetrical boards usually have symmetrical solutions, which halves the thinking.
- If you cannot find a move, look for a pair you have been treating as too far apart.
