One blocky world with several games layered on top of it. The same movement and building system serves a base-defence mode, a chase mode where the infected grow in number, parkour courses that are purely about jumping, and open building with no objective at all. Because the underlying systems are shared, moving between them costs nothing and each one teaches something useful about the next: bridging across a gap under pressure is a parkour skill and a bed wars skill at the same time. Private rooms make it a reasonable thing to open with a few friends, which is where it is at its best.

How to play MineFun IO
- Learn to bridge first. Placing blocks under yourself while moving backwards is the skill every mode uses.
- In base defence, protect the objective before attacking anyone. A lost base ends your round regardless of kills.
- In infection, keep moving and keep your back to something. Being surrounded is the only real failure.
- Use sneak near edges. It prevents the single most common accidental death in every mode.
- Set up a private room for friends rather than joining public lobbies, since the modes are better with people you know.
Tips
- Blocks are a weapon as much as a structure. Cutting off a chase with a wall wins more rounds than fighting does.
- Parkour mode is the cheapest way to practise the movement that the competitive modes assume you have.
- Resources are limited in the objective modes, so spend them on defence before decoration.
Questions about MineFun IO
How many modes are there?
Several, including base defence, infection, parkour and open building, all sharing the same world and controls.
Can I play with friends?
Yes, private rooms let you invite specific people rather than joining a public game.
Do I need to download anything?
No, it runs directly in the browser.
Is building free-form?
In the creative mode, yes. In the competitive modes, resources are limited.
Does it need a good machine?
It is a voxel world, so it is lighter than most 3D games, but a modern browser helps.
