Snowtrail Legends

A downhill sled runner whose central idea is weather. Visibility narrows as the run progresses — snow thickens, the view shortens — so the distance at which you can see an obstacle keeps shrinking while your speed keeps rising, and eventually the game is asking you to commit to lines you cannot fully see. That produces a specific and unusual skill. The obstacles are placed in learnable densities rather than patterns, so what you develop is not memory but a sense of where the slope tends to be clear — a habit of favouring the terrain that has historically been open, which is closer to instinct than to reading. Players describe getting further when they stop trying to see and start trusting that habit, which is exactly what the design intends. Runs last a minute or two and the restart is a press. Collected points unlock sleds with different handling, which genuinely changes how the low-visibility sections feel. The presentation uses the weather as the mechanic rather than as decoration. It plays with two inputs on a keyboard or phone and needs a moderately capable machine for smooth snowfall.
