A hide-and-seek game where concealment is a colour problem. You can paint yourself to match a surface, and a seeker sweeps the area looking for anything that does not belong — so hiding means finding a surface large enough to disappear against and then resisting the urge to move. The tension comes from the fact that a perfect colour match is not enough. Movement gives you away regardless of colour, and the seeker's route changes between rounds, so a spot that was safe once can be the first place checked next time. That forces an actual decision each round rather than a memorised hiding place, and it makes the rounds short and repeatable in the right way. Each one takes two or three minutes, there is no punishment for losing beyond the round ending, and the levels add complications gradually — patterned surfaces that are harder to match, multiple seekers, time limits on painting. It is a light game with one clean idea, it plays with taps on a phone, and it runs on anything. A good few minutes rather than a long evening.

How to play Paint Hide & Seek
- Pick a large single-coloured surface rather than a small perfect match.
- Paint before the seeker's sweep begins, not during it.
- Stay completely still while you are being looked at; movement beats camouflage.
- Watch the seeker's route for a round before choosing a favourite spot.
- Move between sweeps if the seeker is closing in, not while they are facing you.
Tips
- Movement gives you away no matter how good the colour is.
- Patterned surfaces are harder to match and therefore better hiding places when you manage it.
- Seeker routes change between rounds, so memorised spots eventually fail.
