Scary Wheels

A physics racer on tracks that hang in the sky with no barriers worth mentioning. The rider is a ragdoll, the vehicle is loosely attached to them, and the track is built from traps rather than decorated with them — so the question in each level is less about speed and more about which hazards can be taken at pace and which need a careful approach. That produces a specific rhythm. Long stretches are taken flat out, and then something arrives that punishes momentum entirely, and the good run is the one where you slowed for exactly those and nothing else. Because the rider separates from the vehicle on a bad impact, a crash is usually unrecoverable and always funny, and the level restart is immediate — which is the right structure for a game with this failure rate. There are characters and vehicles to unlock, which gives the repeated attempts somewhere to lead, and the levels add trap types rather than getting longer. It plays with four inputs on a keyboard or on-screen controls, runs on modest hardware, and is honest about being a comedy of crashes with a racing line buried inside it.
