Football stripped down to two players and a walled pitch. There are no throw-ins and no goal kicks because the ball never leaves, which means every clearance is also a potential assist for the other side and every rebound is live. Matches are short and the ball behaves unpredictably enough that a comfortable lead is never comfortable. Tackling is available and worthwhile, with the caveat that the referee makes decisions of its own and may award a penalty for something that happened nowhere near the goal. Online matches and unlockable characters sit on top of a very quick core loop.

How to play Soccer Bros
- Play the rebound. In a walled pitch the second ball is where most goals come from.
- Clear towards the corners rather than up the middle, since a central clearance returns to the opponent.
- Tackle only when the ball is genuinely reachable. A missed tackle leaves the goal open and may concede a penalty.
- Shoot early from range. The walls mean a saved shot often comes straight back to you.
- Defend by standing between the ball and the goal rather than chasing the player.
Tips
- The referee is inconsistent by design, so treat every tackle as carrying a risk of a penalty regardless of where it happens.
- Short matches reward starting fast. Falling two behind early is very hard to recover.
- Against a human opponent, vary the angle you shoot from. Repeating a shot is how you get read.
Questions about Soccer Bros
Is it one against one?
Yes, single players on each side, which is what keeps matches short and chaotic.
Can I play online?
Yes, there are online matches as well as games against the computer.
Why did I concede a penalty for that?
The referee is deliberately unpredictable and will occasionally punish a tackle made far from goal.
Are there characters to unlock?
Yes, unlocked through play, and they are mostly cosmetic.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, with on-screen controls.
How long is a match?
A few minutes at most. The format is built around quick rematches rather than long games.
