Football with one button and no stability whatsoever. Pressing the key jumps, kicks and defends depending on where you are, which means every action is the same action and the skill is entirely in timing it. Then the twist: after every goal the game reshuffles the match. The pitch changes, the players change, the ball changes and sometimes the surface turns to ice and everyone starts sliding. The consequence is that no lead ever feels safe and no strategy survives a goal, which is exactly why it works as a two-player game on one keyboard — nobody can claim the better setup, because the setup does not last.
| One key | Jump, kick and defend, depending on position |

| Second key | The other player on the same keyboard |
| Touch | One button on screen |
How to play Soccer Random
- Time the press to the ball rather than pressing constantly. Spamming leaves you in the air when the ball arrives.
- Play the bounce. With physics this loose, the second contact is more often decisive than the first.
- Defend by standing in the way rather than jumping at the ball. Height is usually the wrong answer.
- Adjust after every goal. The new configuration may reward the opposite of what just worked.
- Play a friend on the same keyboard. Against the computer the randomness is amusing; against a person it is a game.
Tips
- On slippery pitches, press earlier. Everything takes longer to arrive when nobody has grip.
- The goal is often scored by the ball hitting a player who did nothing, so being in front of the goal is a tactic.
- Do not learn a rhythm too firmly. The next configuration will break it.
