Steel Legion

An arcade tank game with eight vehicles that differ in ways that matter. Armour, speed and reload time trade against each other, so a heavy tank that survives a direct exchange is also the one that cannot reposition, and the map you are on determines which of those properties is worth having. That gives the vehicle choice real weight. Open maps favour reload and range; cluttered ones favour speed and short sightlines, and a heavy tank in a maze is a slow-moving problem for its own team. Boosters collected during a match temporarily tilt those properties, which creates windows where an otherwise unfavourable fight becomes winnable — and knowing when your booster is up is the main in-match skill. Battles last a few minutes across a set of maps, with progression unlocking the tanks and upgrades. The cartoon presentation keeps everything readable and the destruction satisfying. It plays with a keyboard and mouse or on-screen controls, runs on modest hardware, and is a straightforward arcade game that takes its one system — the vehicle trade-off — seriously enough to build maps around it.
