A pirate arena that combines growth mechanics with a battle royale structure. You collect treasure scattered around an island to become larger and stronger, you can take treasure from other pirates by beating them in a brief melee, and the playable area shrinks until one player remains. The combination works because the two systems pull in opposite directions. Growing requires collecting, which means moving around in the open; surviving requires avoiding anybody bigger than you, which means staying out of the open. The shrinking boundary eventually removes the option, so the game has a natural arc from cautious gathering to forced confrontation. Combat is simple — a swing with reach and timing — and size differences are decisive, so the skill is mostly in picking fights you will win and declining ones you will not. A slightly larger opponent who is distracted is a better target than a smaller one who is watching you. Rounds last a few minutes, lobbies fill with real players, and the presentation is bright and cheerful. It plays with a drag on a phone or keys on a desktop, runs on very weak hardware, and is one of the more approachable games in its format — simple enough for children and tense enough in the final circle to hold anybody's attention.

How to play YoHoHo IO
- Collect loose treasure before fighting anybody; size decides melees.
- Decline fights against larger pirates; there is no technique that beats the size gap.
- Target distracted opponents rather than the smallest ones.
- Move toward the centre before the boundary forces you.
- Circle treasure dropped by a kill rather than diving for it.
Tips
- Size differences are decisive, which makes fight selection the whole skill.
- A distracted larger pirate is a better target than an alert smaller one.
- The shrinking boundary converts a gathering game into a fighting one.
