A compact battle royale in an arena rather than across a map. Everybody starts armed or arms themselves quickly, hazards roll through the space on their own schedule, and the safe zone shrinks until whoever is left is fighting in a small area — which compresses the whole format into a few minutes. The hazards are what make it more than a shootout. Because they move independently, positioning has to account for three things at once: the other players, the closing zone and whatever is rolling through, and the good players use the hazards as weapons by being on the correct side of them. Matches are short enough that a bad start costs nothing, the food theme keeps the tone light, and the whole thing fills quickly because there is nothing to install. It is a well-judged version of a format that usually demands far more of your time. Because everything is compressed into one arena, there is no looting phase and no travel time — which removes the part of the battle royale format that most people find tedious and keeps only the part that is tense.

How to play FoodStars.io
- Arm yourself immediately; an unarmed player in a small arena has no options.
- Track the hazards as carefully as the opponents — they eliminate people constantly.
- Move towards the closing zone early rather than being pushed into it.
- Use hazards offensively by keeping them between you and an opponent.
- Break away when your health is low rather than trading in the open.
Tips
- The player chasing you is not watching the hazard; use that.
- In the final few, patience wins — whoever attacks first is usually exposed to something.
- Dash is for escaping the closing edge, not for closing distance.
