A top-down battle royale fought with blades rather than guns. You start small with a short sword, and everything you break or collect increases your size, health and reach — reach being the one that actually decides fights, since a longer blade lets you hit somebody who cannot yet hit you. The arena shrinks on a timer, which stops farming from being a strategy on its own and eventually pushes everyone still alive into the same space. A charged dash provides both the engage and the escape, and knowing which one you are using it for is most of the skill in the late game. Sessions are short and the escalation is legible, which is what makes it easy to keep starting another one. You can see exactly how far ahead somebody is by looking at their blade, and that visibility means the fights you take are chosen rather than stumbled into. Losing usually feels like a decision you got wrong rather than something that happened to you.

How to play Blobade

  1. Farm chests and food before engaging anyone. Reach is bought, not earned in fights.
  2. Attack only when your blade is longer than theirs, which is visible before you commit.
  3. Save the dash for escaping when you are ahead and for closing when you are behind.
  4. Watch the shrinking edge and move early. Being pushed into the middle by the zone is the worst way to arrive.
  5. Fight near loose resources so that a win immediately funds the next stage of growth.

Tips

  • Two players fighting each other are both easier targets than either of them alone.
  • The dash has a cooldown, so an opponent who has just used theirs is momentarily committed.
  • Late game is about spacing rather than aggression, and the player who swings first usually loses.
