A compact arena, a pickaxe, a gun and a stack of materials. The last side standing wins, but survival here rarely means finding cover; it means making it. Structures go up instantly, which turns every exchange into a race between two pairs of hands, and the pair that runs out of ideas about where to put a wall usually runs out of round shortly afterwards.

How to play 2v2.io
- Farm a stack of materials before looking for a fight. Arriving at a duel with nothing to build is arriving unarmed.
- Put a wall between yourself and the shot the instant you take damage, then decide what to do from behind it.
- Climb. The player above has the easier angle in every exchange, so ramps are worth more material than walls.
- Box up when a fight goes badly, then edit a window and take the shot from inside. A one-by-one box is a weapon, not a hiding place.
- Watch your partner's height. Two players on different levels cover far more of the arena than two players side by side.
Tips
- The panic wall is a habit worth building deliberately: place first, aim second, and you survive engagements that better shots do not.
- Rotating a piece is faster than choosing a different one. The rotate key does most of the work people expect the selection keys to do.
- Do not spend the whole stack on one duel. A player with materials left can rebuild; a player without them can only run.
Questions about 2v2.io
How is this different from a plain shooter?
Cover is not placed on the map, it is created during the fight. That single change makes construction speed matter as much as accuracy.
What is an edit?
Cutting an opening in a structure you own, firing through it and closing it again. It is the core trick of the format and the hardest part to learn.
Do I need a partner?
Rounds are built around pairs, but the arena will fill the slot for you if you arrive alone.
Is there anything to install?
No. It loads in the browser tab and there is nothing to download.
