A duelling arena where shooting is only half of what decides the round. The other half is construction: walls, ramps, floors and cones go up instantly, and the player who reaches high ground first usually gets to aim downwards while the other aims up. Rounds are short and respawns are quick, so the whole thing turns into a rhythm of rush, block, climb and clutch rather than a series of careful engagements.

How to play 1v1.LOL

  1. Open by moving. Standing in the open at spawn is the fastest way to lose a round, because the first clean line of sight usually decides it.
  2. Answer incoming fire with a wall rather than a dodge. A placed wall stops the damage immediately and buys the second you need to reposition.
  3. Build ramps upward whenever the exchange stalls. Height turns a difficult duel into an easy one, and giving it up is worse than losing a little material.
  4. Learn one edit and use it constantly: cut a window, fire through it, close it again. That single trick beats better aim more often than it should.
  5. Push when your opponent starts turtling. A player boxed inside their own build has nowhere to go, and material spent on defence is material they cannot use to climb.

Tips

  • Material is a resource, not a wall to hide behind. Spending it to gain height wins more rounds than spending it to survive one more second.
  • Practise the swap between gun and build until it needs no thought. The gap between deciding to build and building is where most players die.
  • Cones and floors matter as much as ramps. Capping your ramp stops an opponent taking the height you just paid for.

Questions about 1v1.LOL

Do I play against real people?

Yes, the arena matches you with other players, and there is practice available when you would rather drill mechanics than duel.

Why do I keep losing to worse aim?

Almost always because the other player built faster. Height and cover decide more rounds here than accuracy does.

Is a mouse necessary?

It is a real advantage. The game runs on touch, but the aim-and-edit loop was designed around a mouse and keyboard.

How long is a round?

A minute or two at most. The design assumes you will play many of them rather than one long match.
