An arena game that borrows from role-playing games rather than from snakes. You choose a character class with its own weapon and reach, you grow physically larger by killing smaller things, and size translates into damage and health — so the arena always contains opponents both well above and well below your weight, and the judgement of which is which is the game. That judgement is harder than it sounds because size is visible but skill is not. A player your own size who knows their class will beat you, and a player noticeably larger can still be killed by two smaller ones working the same target. Classes differ in reach, speed and swing timing rather than in numbers alone, so learning one properly is worth more than switching between them. Death costs your accumulated size, which gives every fight a real stake and makes the decision to disengage a skill in itself. Rounds are continuous rather than matched, so you can farm quietly or go hunting as you prefer, and the leaderboard makes it obvious which approach the top players chose. It plays well on touch and better with a mouse.

How to play Minigiants IO
- Farm the small enemies first; size is the prerequisite for everything else.
- Learn one class properly rather than sampling all of them.
- Judge opponents by behaviour as much as by size — a confident small player is dangerous.
- Disengage when you are losing; size lost is worse than a kill missed.
- Fight near your own territory, not in the middle where everyone converges.
Tips
- Reach decides most even fights, so know your class's range precisely.
- Two small players will kill a large one, and large players frequently forget it.
- The safest growth is the dull kind, away from the centre of the map.
