Rumble Rush

A crowded elimination arena where the traps are straightforward and the other players are the complication. Spinning beams, collapsing tiles and sweeping hazards are all individually easy to avoid; doing so while two dozen people are trying to avoid the same one at the same time is the actual game. That makes crowd reading the skill. A hazard with a clear path through it becomes impassable when everybody funnels into that path, so the better choice is usually the slightly worse route that nobody else is taking — and players who learn to move against the flow survive considerably longer than faster ones. Collisions are physics rather than attacks, so most eliminations are accidental and nobody stays annoyed. Rounds are a couple of minutes and restarting is immediate. Lobbies fill quickly with real players, the presentation is bright and legible, and it runs on very weak hardware. It is a light game that works best in short bursts, and it is considerably better with people you know, because the pile-ups are funnier when you can blame somebody specific.
