The third entry enlarges the house into a mansion and, more significantly, adds a second person hunting you. Because the two patrol independently, the safe-route knowledge that carried the earlier games stops being reliable — a corridor cleared of one can be occupied by the other, and the two of them together cover far more ground than either alone. The surrounding moat means the exits are harder than opening a door, so the puzzle chain is longer and more interlocked than in the original. Five days is still the budget, which makes the larger map a real pressure rather than just more space, and the correct approach shifts from careful searching to efficient searching — you can no longer afford to be thorough everywhere. It is the entry that asks most of your route planning, and the one where a failed day teaches the most.
