A parkour course with a timer that makes you faster instead of ending the run. Every second you remain on the course adds one to your speed, so the early platforms are trivially easy and the same platforms twenty seconds later are impossible to stop on. That inversion is the whole design. Most platformers get harder because the obstacles change; this one gets harder because you do. The consequence is that hesitating is actively dangerous. Standing still to plan a jump does not pause the meter, so the route you were thinking about becomes unavailable while you think about it.

How to play SpeedEscape.io
- Move immediately and keep moving. Every second spent deciding makes the decision harder.
- Learn the route on a slow first attempt, then run it properly. Knowledge is the only thing that transfers.
- Take jumps early rather than at the edge. At speed the platform edge arrives while you are still deciding.
- Use walls and corners to bleed speed when a section needs precision.
- Restart when the momentum is unmanageable rather than trying to salvage the run.
Tips
- Straight sections are where the speed hurts least, so bank distance there and slow before technical parts.
- The finish is usually easier than the middle, because by then you are committed and there is nothing to land on precisely.
- If a jump keeps overshooting, the fix is jumping sooner rather than steering harder.
Questions about SpeedEscape.io
What does the speed mechanic do?
It adds one to your movement speed every second, so the course becomes harder purely as a function of time.
Can I slow down?
Only situationally, using the terrain. There is no general brake, which is the point.
Is there an end to a course?
Yes, each course has a finish line, and reaching it before the speed becomes unmanageable is the challenge.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, with a stick and a jump button.
Is it the same as other speed obby games?
The mechanic is familiar, but here the increase is on a timer rather than tied to steps taken.
