A single swing, judged on where the projectile ends up. The ball arrives, you time the bat, and the contact decides both the direction and the distance — after which physics takes over and the damage is whatever the ball happens to hit on its way through a harbour full of ships and buildings. Because a run is one swing, the game lives entirely in the moment of contact and in the second or two afterwards where you find out whether the angle was right. Retro pixel graphics, characters to unlock and a very short loop make it easy to keep restarting.

How to play Ship Smasher

  1. Watch the projectile rather than the bat. The timing cue is always on the incoming object.
  2. Aim slightly upward. A flat hit travels fast and hits one thing; a lofted one travels further and hits several.
  3. Learn where the dense clusters are. Damage comes from what the ball passes through, not from raw distance.
  4. Take the early swing when the arrival looks awkward, because a mistimed late swing usually misses entirely.
  5. Restart immediately. A run lasts seconds and the timing is easiest to learn in quick succession.

Tips

  • The heaviest targets stop the ball, so a route that skims past them scores better than one that hits them head on.
  • Unlocked characters change the swing feel, so re-learn the timing after switching.
  • If contact keeps failing, you are swinging on sight rather than on the sound and rhythm of the approach.
